Tero

A woody oriental fragrance that opens with sweet aromatic notes, a earthy heart, and a warm, enveloping amber base. Created in collaboration with Carlos Benaim, Tero means “Earth” in Esperanto.

Although there are billions of planets out there, finding a copy of Earth seems unlikely, as it would have had to undergo the same evolutionary stages to reach a similar state as today. We can therefore say that we all live on the same “place”—our planet—and that we are composed of it in complex yet simple ways. As humans, we go through cycles just like the Earth, only on different planes. The Earth grows and dies, changes and moves, warms and cools, produces life, and feeds on what it creates. The Earth asks us to take care of it, and in doing so, to take care of ourselves and future generations, plants, animals, air, and water. It asks us to be aware that we are part of it as much as anything else, and that the Earth and its nature are part of the whole. The Earth asks us to accept it as it is, to accept ourselves, and to understand that everything will change and grow at the pace and in the ways necessary—not to push it beyond its limits, not to turn nature into something we can no longer even call natural. The Earth asks us, as humans, to keep it clean and healthy, and to keep ourselves clean and healthy. This fragrance, with its earthy notes, is dedicated to all of this: to the world we all live in.
