Alessandro Gualtieri is an Italian perfumer known for his experimental and unconventional approach. After training between Germany and chance encounters – such as meeting an Italian expatriate who taught him the art of perfumery in a bar – he worked for major brands including Fendi, Versace, Helmut Lang, and Diesel, before founding his own line Nasomatto in Amsterdam.
Famous for refusing to reveal the olfactory pyramids of his creations, Gualtieri lets the fragrances themselves speak, guiding the wearer through a personal and spontaneous sensory journey. Among his most iconic works: Duro, a celebration of masculine strength, and Black Afgano, a tribute to the scent of hashish.
Alongside Nasomatto, he also launched Orto Parisi, dedicated to the rawer and more animal side of human nature.
