Boa Madre

"I added fauna to the flora of Musa Paradisiaca: boa is a serpent, or has ostrich feathers, while Mother Earth is the origin of life."

With the second fragrance of the "La Tuberosa secondo me" line, Cristian Cavagna pays homage to René Gruau, pseudonym of Renato Zavagli Ricciardelli delle Caminate, famous Italian illustrator. Gruau took part in the revolution that began in 1947 with the New Look: the lines of feminine codes were rewritten. He joined those who were now his friends, Dior, Givenchy, Balmain, for whom he created shapes and realized advertisements with women covered in ostrich feathers. Gruau would say: "Line is the basis of all arts: a single line can express greatness, nobility, sensuality, it is the synthesis of all sensations, the concentration of all knowledge." The lines of the BOA MADRE bottle are a woman's hips, they are ostrich eggs. The egg is the representation of the primordial seed from which everything began, its iconographic use is found in all cultures.
