“Bal d’Afrique is one of my first fragrances. When it was created, I was obsessed with the idea of translating memories into a perfume while also including an imaginative component. My father lived and traveled in Africa for about 10–15 years. I had read his diaries, discovering how he traveled on merchant ships, meeting all kinds of people… So, I imagined arriving in Africa through someone else’s words. Bal d’Afrique reflects all of this: it is an imaginary journey as well as a full celebration of my vision of African culture and its influence.”
