This fragrance is a tribute to Absinthe, an ambivalent and highly controversial liqueur, with a distinctive green color and strongly aromatic smell. Absinthe is known for having protected soldiers at war from typhus, malaria and dysentery and, after a period of glory and widespread diffusion, was banned. Among the various reasons for this provision is the one related to thujone, a molecule present in Artemisia (the plant from which absinthe is derived) containing a cannabinoid, which seemed to give the liqueur a hallucinogenic effect and cause alterations of consciousness. As a component of various essential oils, thujone is also used in perfumery.

The bottle cap is made of olive wood. As with all Nasomatto fragrances, the packaging was entirely made in Italy.
