Jihan is... sacrifice. An Arabic name given to the beautiful crocus flower, symbol of cheerfulness, joy, youth and happiness, this flower appears with the arrival of spring, and can be white, purple and yellow. The purple one is the most precious and reflects pride and dignity. But it is Jihan's sacrificial aspect that has fascinated people for centuries: giving up something beautiful and precious for the sake of something else. The Jihan flower in fact produces the famous small and precious threads used in cooking around the world: saffron, one of the most expensive spices in the world.
