“Bal d’Afrique is one of my first perfumes. When it was formulated, I was obsessed with the idea of translating memories into a fragrance while also including an imaginary component. My father lived and traveled in Africa for about 10-15 years. I had read his diaries, discovering the way he traveled on merchant ships, meeting all kinds of people… So, I imagined arriving in Africa through someone else’s words. Bal d’Afrique reflects all of this: it is an imaginary journey, as well as a complete celebration of my vision of African culture and its influence.”
